The Mary Webb Centre needs a little help from her friends!
The Mary Webb Cultural and Community Centre’s Board of Directors is very pleased to announce that it has been approved to receive funding from the Department of Canadian Heritage in the amount of $249,880 to help with the construction of its new addition. The Mary Webb Centre has already received support from many individual donors as well as the Howard Mutual Insurance Company, the Howard J Rees Foundation, the Trillium Foundation, and the Municipality’s Community Partnership Fund.
This is a very exciting time for the Board of the Mary Webb Centre and the whole community as we proceed. The plans have been approved and construction of the new 2200 sq. ft. addition has started. The new addition will meet accessibility requirements that will include a lift, barrier-free entrances, and new washrooms on both levels.
Our plans are ambitious, but realistic, and our mission is well-defined. With the help from our welcoming community, we know we will succeed. The Mary Webb Centre is still in need of donations to complete our dream.
The Mary Webb Centre is selling spring seeds and bulbs from Vesey’s Bulbs. Please contact any member of the Board or call Jim Ondrovcik at 519-674-0161.
