Now that was certainly a night to remember! Nothing really prepares you for the rhetoric and comic monologue from Fred Eaglesmith.  His loyal fans joined us on Saturday Mar. 4/17 from as far away as Toronto, Aylmer and Windsor, helping to fill The Mary Webb Centre’s concert hall.

The Canadian alternative country singer-songwriter is best known for writing songs about machines, trucks, tractors, cars, and engines. Many of his songs are based on rural life, dogs, guns, drinking and farming with surprise endings and plot twists about down-and-out characters dealing with loss of love or livelihood.

Fred and his very talented wife Tif Ginn provided a full evening of music and storytelling. Tif played a wide and varied assortment of instruments and also performed solo for three songs of her own. The performance went longer than usual as the audience refused to let them leave the stage.  Another evening of entertainment at The Mary Webb Centre enjoyed by all!
