Steve Patterson is an award-winning stand-up comedian with over 25 years of international performance experience. As host of the long-running hit radio show and podcast The Debaters and theatre show The Debaters Live, Patterson’s brand of comedy is best described as honest and erudite combining well-crafted writing with unparalleled off-the-cuff wit. Twice named Canada’s Best Male Stand-Up at the Canadian Comedy Awards, Patterson is known for masterfully keeping the audience engaged with heartfelt stories, concisely constructed letters, and original songs. In short, Patterson packs much more than punchlines into his show.

Vancouver-based Erica Sigurdson has been delighting audiences across Canada and beyond for  close to two decades. Having been described as a ‘sugar-coated razor blade’ she is equal parts  charming and sardonic with her take on the world around her. She has been featured over 70 times on the hit show The Debaters on CBC Radio, performed at every major comedy festival  in Canada as well as performed in Singapore, The Philippines, Thailand, Afghanistan and  Iceland. She is also an advocate for Type 1 diabetes awareness, having lived with Type 1 since  the age of 10.

Dave Hemstad (headshots emailed)

Born and raised in Thornhill, Ontario, Dave Hemstad was an Academic All-American golfer who was struck by lightning during a tournament…which significantly altered his career path. 

Dave has spent the last 20 years performing stand-up comedy around the world and is highly sought after for his particular brand of clean humour, dissecting our day-to-day lives with a razor sharp wit that is oh-so-relatable. 

Dave is a triple threat in the comedy world as a stand-up, writer, and actor. He has taped numerous gala sets at Just For Laughs, the Halifax Comedy Festival, and the Winnipeg Comedy Festival, as well as recording his own Comedy Now! special. Dave is a regular and favourite on CBC’s The Debaters and has written for CBC’s Still Standing and for the 2016 Canadian Screen Awards. As an actor Dave starred in the TV series Almost Heroes, co-starred in the CBS Sports golf show Off The Hozzle, and has many other acting credits to his name. His new comedy album “DAD INTENTIONS” is available on iTunes and Spotify.
