Stewart Skiba was born in Simcoe and now lives in Blenheim, Ontario. He studied art at several institutions including Banff School of Fine Arts in Alberta; the Dundas Valley School of Art and Sheridan College in Ontario; and with Professional Photographers of America in Chicago, Illinois. He has exhibited his art at the Glenhyrst Art Gallery in Brantford, Erieau Art on the Boulevard and Oakville Art in the Park. He paints with oil on canvas using the old Flemish style from the 15th century. It is a slow process, but worth the patience as the results begin to manifest themselves with realistically rendered forms.
