Linda Okrucky
 
 
Linda is a landscape and still life painter whose preferred medium is acrylic because of it’s fast-drying qualities, vivid colors and all-around versatility. 
 
Inspired by nature, she tries to capture the beauty of the locale that is around her – from the peaceful rural landscapes of southwestern Ontario to the rugged wildness of the north. 
 
Her favourite subjects include water, rocks and trees and animals. Using a limited palette, she tells a story through color and light. Continuously checking color relationships, values and shapes, she seeks to find unexpected color combinations that cause the viewer to reconsider everyday scenes and objects.
