J.P Cormier

The MWC was treated to the Nova Scotia sound of J.P Cormier. Cormier, a musical prodigy in his own right, first picked up a guitar at 5 years old, at 16 years old recorded his first album.
J.P.’s impressive body of work has earned him multiple award nominations and wins, including Instrumental Album of the Year at the 1st Annual Canadian Folk Awards, the 2006 ECMA Folk Recording of the Year for “The Long River: A Personal Tribute to Gordon Lightfoot”, and a placing in the prestigious International Songwriting Competition.
