On Friday May 6th Jimmy Rankin took command of The Mary Webb Centre stage. And yes, he is one of THE Rankins – the Cape Breton family of singers. Rankin gets billed as a singer/songwriter/acoustic guitar player who is the “songwriting lynch pin” of his family’s group.  And he sang up a storm in front of a sold-out appreciative crowd.  The line-up to have CDs signed stretched almost out the door, and Jimmy made a point of speaking personally with everyone.  Class act!
